Please read and understand the following terms and conditions as they are binding for all ticket purchases.
By purchasing the ticket, you (“Ticket Holder”) agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of sale specified herein and any other provision as may be specified from time to time by Houdini’s. The owners of Houdini’s or employees shall not be liable for any death, personal injury, loss, damage however caused while in the venue, location or place related to Houdini’s nor are they liable for any complaints, claims, refunds, or exchange for any reason, including without limitation, cancellation or postponement of Houdini’s. Any refunds shall be made only at Houdini’s management’s discretion. Tickets are sold subject to the following conditions:
1: General
1.1. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to affect your statutory rights.
1.2. The game is designed for a team of 2-8 people per room.
1.3 The trademarks and logos displayed on the website are the property of the company. You are not permitted to use these without a written consent of the company and you accept that any such use may constitute an infringement of the relevant proprietor’s rights.
1.4. These terms and conditions and any contract concluded incorporating these terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and all disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
1.5. The website may contain hyperlinks to third party websites. The operation of those websites is out of the company’s control and you may use them at your own risk. The company accepts no liability for any damage arising out of any use of those websites.
1.6. The company collects and stores your personal details without disclosing it to any 3rd party and is dedicated to ensure that the privacy of your personal information is protected in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
1.7. Due to the nature of the game no recordings can be taken inside the room. That includes (without limitation) the use of mobile phones, recording devices (video and/or audio) and cameras. The use of such a device in the room is not permitted at any time.
1.8. The company expects visitors not to disclose any details of the game directly or indirectly to the public.
1.9. The company may contact you from time to time with offers and promotions via email or phone. If you wish to unsubscribe, please write us an email and we will take your email off our database. Contact email is listed in paragraph 4.
1.10. The company is entitled to charge the guests for any damage which is intentional and/or caused by misuse of items.
1.11. While you are on our premises, you must ensure to conform to our codes and regulations, adopt proper standards of behavior, and cooperate with our employees.
1.12. The company doesn’t tolerate any kind of bullying or harassment towards its employees.
2: Bookings
2.1. The only language available for the conclusion of a contract online is English.
2.2. Only person(s) who are at least 16 years of age are permitted to book a Game.
2.3 This is a live event game, and once the booking is confirmed, we cannot give any refunds.
2.4. Any purchase on the website is only valid when processed by the company. You shall receive a confirmation once your booking is processed.
2.5. You are entirely responsible for entering your details correctly on the Online Booking Form on the website.
2.6. If you wish to reschedule your booking, please contact us prior to 48 hours of your booking, to reschedule it. £25 rescheduling fee will be applied. If you contact us in less than 24 hours before the event rescheduling is not possible and no refunds will be issued.
2.7. If you fail to show for your booking, no refund or rescheduling will be permitted.
2.8. A booking becomes a no-show and entry will be declined if the team is late 20 minutes or more of the booked starting time. In such a situation the money is not refundable and the booking is not changeable.
2.9. We require that the whole team arrives at the booked time for your briefing and introduction. At least one adult over 18 must be present if minors (under 18) are participating.
2.10. If the team is late less than 15 minutes, depending on availability the 60 minutes to escape the room will be decreased.
3. Price and payment
3.1. The price of a game is stated on the website under the booking section.
3.2. The price is set according to group size (up to a maximum of 8 persons).
3.3. The online payments can be made by via credit card or Paypal.
3.4. Bookings can be made online or by telephone.
3.5. Full payment is required at the time of booking.
3.6. Only one type of discount or offer can be used with a single booking and valid proof must be brought to your booking.
3.7 If any offer is deemed misused then the offer applied to your order will be removed and payment of balance will be due. Failure to pay the balance may result in booking cancellation.
4. Safety
4.1. Each attendee will be instructed before their event by one of the employees of the company. After learning the rules of the event, each attendee will participate in the event at their own risk. The company is not liable for any (personal or equipment) damages caused by not following the rules described before the event. Each player will sign a statement agreeing to the Terms and Condition of the Game before entering the escape room.
4.2. People under the influence of alcohol or drugs might be turned away and their game will be stated as a no-show.
4.3. Drinks and food may not be brought into the event and into the room unless otherwise specified.
4.4. To be admitted you must confirm the full name of the booking and might be asked to confirm your phone number and email address the booking confirmation was sent to.
4.5. An adult over 18 must remain on the premises at all times if all the players are under 18. Players need to be 16 or over to play unsupervised. Happy for children below 14 to take part, supervised by an adult, but much below 10 and they may find some of the puzzles and challenges a bit difficult to understand or complete. Someone over 18 years of age must complete the appropriate Houdinis waiver before the game.
5. Photos And Comments
5.1 Photos of each team will be taken during and at the end of the game.
5.2. Photos may be uploaded to social media sites without names.
5.3. Attendees may comment on the experience on social media. The company has the right to moderate all comments that are not appropriate.
5.4. The Company does not have to explain why comments were refused or deleted. It has full authority over any comments.
